Description A well-maintained aquarium with plants and beautiful fish is also possible in smaller aquariums. In this regard, sera fil 60/120 is ideal for small aquariums. The large filter volume (respectively 200/350 cm2) guarantees optimal filtration, the best possible biodegradation of waste and provides crystal clear and biologically stable water. Water purification in several steps: echanical: coarse waste is mechanically filtered by the filter sponge in the first compartment.Chemical: The activated carbon sera super carbon in the other compartment removes toxic organic contaminants, as well as pesticides and drugs. The third filter compartment included in the sera fil 120 contains the sera siporax mini®. In this part the biological purification is performed. sera siporax mini® has a large area for the development of beneficial purifying bacteria. This third part can be added to the sera fil 60.The third compartment increases the useful filter volume and increases the filter capacity. Possibility to purchase and add a module, sponge, sera siporax mini® andsera super carbon separately. Energy saving, consumes 7/10 W respectively. Quiet and easy to clean and maintain. A set of parts for different installation in the aquarium are also included (spray bar, L-shaped connections, vacuum cleaners, possibility for air intake). It can also be installed in an aquarium with water turtles. Technical data: 230 V – 50 Hz, 10 W, 700 l / h, H 1.35 m Important: Only for freshwater aquarium. Do not work out of water for a long time. Recommendations for maximum efficiency: For maximum efficiency, biological filters must operate continuously, switching off for max. 30 minutes for cleaning and maintenance of the aquarium. Do not disinfect or clean with detergents. Rinse the sponge and sera siporax mini® only in aquarium water. We recommend the addition of biostarters (preparations containing cleaning bacteria and enzymes) sera nitrivec and sera filter biostart each time the filter is cleaned. In the first month after starting the filter, check the nitrite levels twice a week with the sera NO2 test (nitrate test), as well as after each cleaning of the filter. Frequent contamination of the filter is a signal for too many fish for this volume of aquarium or feeding. With a normal amount of fish, clean the filter every 3-4 months. Regularly check for clogging of the filter from plant leaves and debris.
