Description The Cooperativa Agricola LA GINESTRA farmers’ cooperative was founded in 1978 in San Casciano V.P. on the rolling hills near Florence by a group of young enthusiasts with the dream of maintaining and restoring Tuscan agricultural tradition. So it has been only natural that since 1989 they have chosen ORGANIC FARMING as a sign of eco-friendly agricultural production without the use of any synthetic chemicals and while respecting EU regulations and standards laid down by authorized control bodies. The Estate today includes 125 hectares divided between arable land, pastures, woods and olive groves. Vine cultivation was not something they did when they started the business, but was added later, about 11 years ago. Currently, the estate extends over around six hectares where they cultivate autochthonous Tuscan grapes such as Sangiovese, Colorino and Canaiolo, and international vines such as Cabernet and Merlot. Natural flavours and scents resound through the wonderful wines that we offer.
