Islay, where Bunnahabhain Eirigh Na Greine single malt whisky is produced, is well-known for its peated, smokey malt whiskies. The distillery that is best recognized for its unpeated whiskies is Bunnahabhain, though. This single malt was initially made available as a limited edition for the travel retail sector and has no age statement (NAS). This single malt spent some time maturing in Italy and French red wine barrels. Although Bunnahabhain typically employs ex-sherry casks, another percentage was probably in sherry casks.
